I am a daily user of the Google Now cards on my Android phone but didn’t like the way they open in an internal browser, where you can not bookmark etc stuff I liked. (you first need to re-open the page in Chrome)

My Chromebooks (older Samsung and the Samsung Plus) did have the Now functionality available from the (search)menu but never showed any Cards. Googling only showed the conclusion that it was not “further developed”.

#Introducing Google app from the app store Happy to report that with my Samsung Plus and its feature to install android apps, I finally have the setup I wanted !

Installing the Google app worked smooth and shows 2 columns of Cards. Clicking on them opens directly in Chrome.
